Join the conversation with Cristin Bleess from Castle View High School in Colorado. She will talk with us about a course she developed to prepare her students for the 21st century workplace.
This course model can be applied to ANY language, so it is relevant to ALL language teachers, not just those teaching Spanish. The ideas can also be adapted to a secondary or post-secondary classroom.
Cristin is the World Language Coordinator for the Douglas County School District. She has taught Spanish in Texas and Minnesota. She is currently president of the Colorado Foreign Language Association. Her first teaching job was for the the Universidad de Guadalajara in their PROULEX (Programa Universitario de Lenguas Extranjeras) program. For the 1999-2000 school year, Cristin was a Fulbright Exchange Teacher in Bogotá, Colombia. In August of 2011, she completed her Master’s from Southern Oregon University in Spanish for Language Teaching.
