Brigitte Pfluger is a Master’s student in Latin American Studies specializing in Development Studies at the University of Florida. She is also currently a Graduate Assistant for the Center for Latin American Studies’ Outreach Department where she is responsible for website development and administrative assistance.

Her background in Hispanic Studies and International Studies helped her acquire the knowledge necessary to being working with nonprofits on education and construction projects in rural communities throughout Latin America. During this time, she quickly realized the importance of advanced language skills in her field. She recently competed studying French in order to increase professional opportunities and to be able to effectively communicate with a wider community. Her main interests are education to alleviate poverty and teacher development to improve education quality.
