National Teach Portuguese Week

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 5 – THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 9
National Teach Portuguese Week is a week-long event to be held each November. The program highlights student and faculty teaching and engagement with Portuguese language and culture(s) in the US and abroad.
The purpose of National Teach Portuguese Week is
1. To promote the teaching of Portuguese as a profession.
2. To encourage the study of Portuguese in the U.S.
3. To emphasize the importance of Portuguese as a world language.
4. To celebrate the diversity of the Portuguese-speaking world.
